According to Don Balon, the Spanish giants may have been handed a big boost in that regard as their target Mbappe is said to have given his agent the green light to negotiate a move to the Bernabeu.

The report notes that Mbappe is seen as the ideal replacement for Ronaldo, and it’s easy to see how the youngster could well develop into a star of the game in years to come.

The France international is currently at the World Cup and is having a strong tournament, with his side taking on Belgium in the semi-finals tomorrow.

Kylian Mbappe has shone for PSG and France and wants a transfer to Real Madrid

Mbappe only joined PSG from Monaco last summer and has been a big hit at the Parc des Princes, so this would undoubtedly be a big blow for the Ligue 1 giants.

Still, reports elsewhere today from Mundo Deportivo also link PSG with Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho, so it could be that they would have a big-name replacement of their own lined up.
