Reports from Spain claim Real Madrid would look at Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe as an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
With the Portugal international being strongly linked with Juventus by Sport Mediaset among others, it’s clear Madrid would need to sign a big name to fill that void.
According to Don Balon, the Spanish giants may have been handed a big boost in that regard as their target Mbappe is said to have given his agent the green light to negotiate a move to the Bernabeu.
The report notes that Mbappe is seen as the ideal replacement for Ronaldo, and it’s easy to see how the youngster could well develop into a star of the game in years to come.
The France international is currently at the World Cup and is having a strong tournament, with his side taking on Belgium in the semi-finals tomorrow.
Mbappe only joined PSG from Monaco last summer and has been a big hit at the Parc des Princes, so this would undoubtedly be a big blow for the Ligue 1 giants.
Still, reports elsewhere today from Mundo Deportivo also link PSG with Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho, so it could be that they would have a big-name replacement of their own lined up.
