Chelsea’s Robert Lewandowski transfer hopes have been dealt a major blow as reports in Germany state he’s now decided to stay with Bayern Munich.
Bild report that the Poland international seems to have changed his mind about Bayern after his agent Pini Zahavi was quoted as saying he wanted a new challenge earlier in the summer.

The Lewandowski transfer could have been ideal for Chelsea to solve their issues up front, with Alvaro Morata not looking at all good enough in his first season in the Premier League.
The Daily Express claimed Lewandowski was one of a number of targets for potential new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, but they may now have to look elsewhere to strengthen up front.

It’s also been claimed they’ve agreed a deal for Juventus front-man Gonzalo Higuain, as per Il Matino, as translated by the Metro.
The Argentine would certainly be a fine alternative, and that report states he’d likely only cost around £53million, whereas a previous report from Bild stated Bayern wanted £176m for Lewandowski.
