Real Madrid eyeing up transfer of €60M Serie A star that would improve key area for Los Blancos

Real Madrid are said to be eyeing a move for Inter Milan and Slovakia star Milan Skriniar, with the Spanish giants looking to bolster their defence for next season.

This is as per Don Balon, who are stating that Los Blancos are keen to snag the defender for lower than the €60M that Inter are asking for, and that Julen Lopetegui has demanded the club sign a centre half this season.

With it being obvious that Real were significantly weak at the back last season, it’s safe to say that them targeting a defender as good as Skriniar is a smart move to say the least.

Skriniar is the man Real Madrid have set their sights on this summer

With stars such as Nacho Fernandez and Jesus Vallejo failing to deliver for Los Blancos last season, as well as other players such as Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane being inconsistent with their performances, you can’t blame Real for looking to bring in a centre-half this summer.

Skriniar has been a superb outlet for Inter this past season, with the Slovakian international playing a big part in helping his side secure Champions League football for next campaign.

The player also scored four goals in Serie A and played in every single league game, showing that he has more to his game than just defending.

If Real were to move for Skriniar, it’d be interesting to see just how much the Spanish giants were able to get him for.
