Video: Chelsea star N’Golo Kante too shy to ask to hold the World Cup

A video has emerged that appears to confirm speculation that Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was too shy to ask to hold the World Cup after France’s win over Croatia.

The Blues ace played a starring role for France in their second ever World Cup win, which comes 20 years after their first in 1998.

Having won two Premier League titles and PFA Player of the Year in England, Kante is now a world champion as well, but it doesn’t seem to have changed him as a person.

In tweets below Get French Football News claim Steven N’Zonzi had to ask players to give Kante the trophy because he was too shy to ask to hold it himself.

The 27-year-old did then get his moment with the famous trophy, and there’s no doubt he deserves it after his remarkable rise in the last few years.
