Juventus’ new signing Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly learned that it is Chelsea forward Eden Hazard who will replace him at Real Madrid in this summer’s transfer window.

The Portugal international was unveiled as a new Juventus player yesterday after one of the most high-profile moves of the summer, and he’s going to prove a tough act to follow at the Bernabeu.

Various names have been linked with Real since Ronaldo’s departure, but perhaps one name that keeps coming back with strong links is Belgian attacker Hazard.

The 27-year-old has been one of the best players in Europe for the last few years and just shone on the biggest stage with a strong World Cup for third-place side Belgium.

Don Balon now claim Ronaldo has become aware that Hazard is Madrid’s prime target to replace him in attack, in what looks a logical move.

The Times have mentioned Hazard’s desire to move, though they also claim Chelsea will ask for as much as £200million for their star player.

This seems about the going rate for the world’s best players at the moment, and Los Blancos will surely have anticipated needing to invest something like that after letting Ronaldo go.
