Man United boss Jose Mourinho ‘to REPLACE Alexis Sanchez with €70million attacker’

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been tipped to replace the struggling Alexis Sanchez with the transfer of Ivan Perisic this summer.

The Croatia international shone for his country at the World Cup this summer after also being linked strongly as a top target for United boss Mourinho around a year ago.

A move failed for Perisic on that occasion and his asking price is said to have risen to €70million this summer after his strong performances on the international stage.

The 29-year-old seems an ideal fit for United’s style of play in attack and could be even more needed at Old Trafford due to Alexis Sanchez’s struggles.

Discussing the possibility of the transfer, former Arsenal man Stewart Robson says he believes Perisic is United-bound this summer and set to be a success where Sanchez has failed.

Manchester United expected to complete Ivan Perisic transfer

‘Alexis Sanchez plays in his position. He (Sanchez) didn’t do particularly well last season,’ Robson told ESPN.

‘Perisic, there was talk about him going to Manchester United last year. I think he had a good enough World Cup for Manchester United to be interested again.

‘I think he will go to United and he will be a hit.’
