Manchester United remain in the hunt for a new defender this summer and have been approached over a potential transfer swoop for Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos.
The player’s agent has touched base with the Red Devils in order to see if they remain interested in his client after showing some interest in the past, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The report also states United remain in talks with Tottenham over possibly signing Toby Alderweireld, who’d likely cost around £55million.
Marquinhos, however, could be another fine option for Jose Mourinho’s side to consider, with the Brazil international long regarded as a promising talent.
The 24-year-old has already gained a lot of experience and won a large number of major honours in his time at the Parc des Princes, so could be a very promising option for United if they decide to take him.
It doesn’t seem like the club have stepped up their interest, however, despite the efforts of Marquinhos’ representative to offer him around.
