Lionel Messi has reportedly told Thiago Alcantara that seeing him move to Real Madrid this summer would ‘hurt’ him.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that the player is very keen to seal a move away from Real Madrid, and that the Spanish giants are keen to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The report also notes that there are a fair few players at Barca would are trying to stop the midfielder from moving to the Spanish capital, and that Gerard Pique has told Thiago that he, like Messi, would also be hurt seeing the player join Real.

Messi seeing Thiago secure a Real Madrid switch this summer would ‘hurt’ him

It’s fair to see why both Pique and Messi would be hurt seeing Thiago join Real, as the Spanish international formerly played for Barcelona a few years ago, and we’re sure the club’s fans would definitely like to see him back at the Nou Camp.

Having come through Barca’s youth system, Thiago ended up going on to make exactly 100 appearances for the Blaugrana before he sealed a move to Bundesliga outfit Bayern in the summer of 2013.

The 27-year-old ended up being a key part of the 2012/13 Barcelona side that broke a whole host of records on their way to securing a 100-point title-winning La Liga campaign.

Seeing a player who is loved by Barca fans join Real would be a big blow for the Blaugrana faithful, however if this report is anything to by, the move may very well happen sometime in the near future.
