Julen Lopetegui demands Real Madrid seal signing of long-term Brazilian target

Julen Lopetegui has requested that his club Real Madrid sign Brazil and Porto defender Alex Telles this summer.

This is according to Don Balon, who are reporting that the defender has been a target for Los Blancos for some time now, and that Lopetegui is adamant that he will need a back-up for Marcelo this season, and it looks likes Telles could be that man.

Telles would be a superb signing for Real, as during his time in Portugal, the 25-year-old has shown that he has what it takes to easily comply with the club’s attacking style of play.

Lopetegui has asked Real to snag a deal to bring Telles to the Spanish capital this summer

Telles was in sensational form for Portuguese giants Porto last season, as he helped the club secure their 28th Liga NOS title.

The Brazilian amassed 14 assists and three goals in 30 league appearances last campaign, a total that is, quite frankly, ridiculous for a left-back.

Telles has often shown during his career that he loves to get forward and help out his teammates in attack, something that’ll see him fit in well at the Bernabeu should he join Real in the near future.

With Marcelo now 30 years old, it may be wise for Real to think about signing a future replacement for the defender, and Telles would be the perfect man for that role.

Only time will tell if Real listen to Lopetegui’s pleas, and if they do, they won’t have much time to get a deal done considering the transfer window shuts this Friday!
