Meeting your sporting hero can bring out plenty of emotion, and it certainly did for this young Barcelona fan when he met Lionel Messi.
The Argentine superstar was in action over the weekend as the Catalan giants maintained their 100% start to the La Liga campaign with a win over Valladolid.

Having established himself as a club icon with the countless goals and trophies he’s scored and won while at the Nou Camp, Messi is undoubtedly seen as a hero by many supporters.
In turn, when this young fan got the chance to meet him and get his autograph, it was all a little bit too much for him as couldn’t stop the tears before grabbing a photo too.
The 31-year-old showed his class after spotting the young lad in tears and consoled him, before undoubtedly making his day as he now walks away with some memorable souvenirs from his trip.
Few have the ability to inspire the younger generation and bring out this type of emotion in them, but Messi certainly has it…
