Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has admitted he’s been surprised by the technical qualities of Blues midfielder N’Golo Kante since he took the job at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at Chelsea this summer and has made a strong start with three wins from his first three Premier League games in charge.

Kante has, as ever, been a key part of this CFC side, though he’s shone in a somewhat different role with the club this season as Sarri has given him more of an attacking role in the middle of the park.
Previously one of the best and most hard-working defensive midfield players in the world, Kante is showing himself to be adept at joining in the attack as well, with Sarri explaining he’s been surprised by how suited he is to the change.
‘Kante is a great midfielder,’ Sarri is quoted in the Metro.
‘He can play any position in my midfield. It’s not a problem for him.
‘I was surprised about the technical qualities from Kante.’
The Italian tactician was highly rated at his previous club Napoli for some innovative tactics and for getting his teams to play some exciting football, and it seems he’s already making his mark in west London with some ideas that few other coaches would have even thought of.
