Arsenal host Chelsea at the Emirates on Saturday evening, and there is no place for Mesut Ozil in the starting line-up.
After being left out against West Ham United last time out, the German playmaker made a point of letting his fans know that he is fully fit after another week of training following a knee injury, as noted in his tweet below.

However, despite that, he hasn’t done enough to persuade Unai Emery to bring him back into the starting line-up, as he has been forced to settle for a place on the bench, as noted in the club’s tweet below.
Whether or not he gets a chance to come on and have an impact in the game remains to be seen, but as per the comments below from Arsenal fans in response to the line-up announcement, the decision to leave the 30-year-old on the bench doesn’t appear to have gone down too well.
Ozil has struggled to hit top form so far this season, as he’s managed just four goals and two assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
Injuries have been an issue too, but as he continues to fail to cement his place in Emery’s preferred starting XI, it remains to be seen whether or not he can force his boss to change his mind in the coming months to play a key role for the Gunners as they continue to chase a top-four finish.
For now though, the Spanish tactician is having to put up with some intense criticism for not giving the World Cup winner a more prominent role, even in such an important game against a direct rival.
