(Video) Former Man United goalkeeper says ‘no coming back’ for on loan star

Dean Henderson is unlikely to turn his Manchester United career around.

That is the view of former goalkeeper Ben Foster, who doesn’t believe the English shot-stopper should have a place in Erik Ten Hag’s permanent plans next season.

Although Henderson, 26, was tipped to replace David De Gea between the Old Trafford sticks thanks largely to opportunities given by former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, things haven’t quite gone to plan for the Whitehaven-born keeper.

Failing to wrestle the number one jersey away from De Gea, Henderson was shipped out on loan to Nottingham Forest this season but after injuring himself earlier in the season, the Red Devils’ academy graduate has since lost his place to veteran shot-stopper Kaylor Navas.

Consequently, facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford, Foster, who spoke to The United Stand, believes that after a ‘horror show’ campaign there is now ‘no way coming back’ for the 26-year-old.
