Nottingham Forest’s Hwang Ui-jo has been embroiled in a distressing situation involving his sister-in-law, who has been sentenced to three years in prison for her role in attempting to blackmail the player.

The Sun reports that the striker is accused of being involved in the filming of a sex tape with his ex-girlfriend without her consent.

This scandal unfolded after the player’s sister-in-law allegedly shared the videos on her social media platform.

As per the report, the sister-in-law has been charged and sentenced for posting private x-rated videos of the player and attempting to blackmail him.

She reportedly blackmailed Hwang by sending message saying “it will be fun” if the videos are leaked.

Hwang has adamantly denied any involvement in filming the videos without consent, refuting the accusations.

However, he has faced consequences as he has been suspended from the South Korean national team pending further investigation.

The team announced his suspension with the following statement(via The Sun):

“We have decided not to select Hwang Ui-jo for the national team until a clear conclusion is reached on the facts.”

The South Korean is currently playing in the Turkish league with Alanyaspor, on loan from Nottingham.

The former Norwich City man has made 382 senior appearances across his career, scoring 110 goals and assisting 30.
