Maldini wants Sergio Ramos at AC Milan

Real Madrid watch out! For long, the Spanish giants have been chasing Milan’s prized asset Kaka but it appears that it could boomerang on the Merengues. Goal.com quotes Milan great Paolo Maldini as saying that he would love to watch Real Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos play for the Rossoneri when he retires from football at the end of the season.

Maldini said:

My successor is him(Sergio Ramos), he will shortly become the best defender in the world.

Ramos certainly has the potential to become the best defedner in the world. He is still only 21 years of age and has been a regular for the Madrid giants since last season. Ramos is also a regular for the Spain national squad. His versatility is a boon and he is effective both while attacking and while defending.

So are Milan about to rush for the player in the summer? Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has already made it crystal-clear that Milan will be drenched in money in the summer and a massive revamp of the squad is inevitable. Real though have consistently maintained that their record signing wouldn’t be pulled away from the Bernabeu at all but you never know.
