Wenger: ‘Essam El Hadary who?’

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is quoted as saying that he never fostered any plan to sign the Egyptian custodian Essam El Hadary from Al-Ahly. The player was one of the best players in the African Cup of Nations and England press reports suggested that the Frenchman was keen on signing the player.

But Wenger says:

No I am not interested in the Egyptian keeper.

Now that should burn out any transfer speculation linking Hadary to Arsenal.
