Dutch goal sensation Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is the man Arsenal want to replace Emmanuel Adebayor.
With Alexander Hleb quitting the Gunners for Barcelona yesterday, boss Arsene Wenger is aiming to continue his rebuilding by landing Huntelaar from Ajax for around £18m.The Frenchman has accepted there is no way Adebayor can stay after a disruptive summer in which the striker has made it clear he wants to move to a club who can pay big money.
It now seems certain the Togo hitman will go to AC Milan, once the San Siro giants make a slight improvement to their initial offer of £24m. (Daily Star)
Huntelaar is a top quality striker just aching to prove to the world that he can score by the bucket load in a more superior league than the Eredivisie. If he ends up costing less than the Ade then Wenger would have pulled off quite a coup because the Dutch international is a far more lethal finisher than the Togolese.
