Everyone one loves a bit of nostalgia and the shirt the Emirates outfit will be wearing next term has it in bucketloads. The cut and the design of the Arsenal shirt, a homage to the 1971 double winning side, is simply perfection itself.
One can only hope that the Gunners can replicate the successes of the Bertie Mee side but perhaps we can end our silverware drought this term rather than hope for some of the 71 magic rub on the current crop of Gunners. There appears to be a retro vibe present in a lot of recent kit designs and it makes a change from the usual act of making the slightest little change to a shirt so as to force the purchase of the latest bit of merchandise.
Thanks to The Gunner Blog for the heads up on this latest pic.

I’m liking the recent move to retro kits that seems to be the fashion, but this is a fairly poor offerring.
I would love if the Glazers were so unambivalent that they allowed the Man U to have a green and yellow striped away kit, that would be a classic!!!

it’s a photoshop fake.. the kit is a template from the football manager game. would be nice though.. now if only you could mirror the masculinity of the 1971 team instead of fielding a squad of foreigners and fairies straight out of drama school! enough said. nottspotter

I only ordered scrambled eggs. The red on the sleeves should be thicker, then it would look better, but still a very nice shirt.
