Manchester City pair Samir Nasri and Carlos Tevez are set to be the subject of a £28million double bid from ambitious French side Monaco.

French international midfielder Nasri and Argentine striker Tevez are set to be two of the faces heading through the exit door at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season will Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini planning a major summer clear-out.

And Monaco are ready to offer them a route out of Manchester with a £28million double bid on the cards, according to the Daily Star on Sunday.

The move – which will see Monaco offer £20million for former Arsenal star Nasri and £8million for Tevez, who will have just one year of his contract left to run in the summer – is to be bankrolled by the French Ligue 2 side’s Russian owner Dmitry Rybolovlev.

Monaco, who are managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, have endured a miserable time in recent years including being relegated from Ligue 1. They are top of the French second division, however, and are on course for a return to the top-flight.

Tevez is keen to run down his contract at Manchester City to engineer a free transfer return to Argentina in 2014, but City may want to cash in on him this summer. Nasri, meanwhile, has failed to live up to the £24million price that City paid Arsenal to sign him.
