Stamford Bridge bit-part player to leave this summer.

Check in to Fulham vs Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun is set to complete a move to the Russian Premier League this summer according to talkSPORT.

The 32 year old has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, suffering with injury concerns from the outset which then led to the Israeli falling down the pecking order at the West London club.

The former Liverpool man impressed in patches during a season long loan spell at Arsenal, scoring six goals in 25 appearances in all competitions, and a not so productive return to West Ham earlier this term.

Benayoun’s agent Ronen Katsav believes a move to Russia is a distinct possibility and has been keen to stress the attacking midfielder’s worth.
“The player is concentrating on this season and he is committed at Chelsea,” Katsav said.

“He will be released at the end of the season and, being a good player, it is normal that there is interest from several clubs.

“Before the expiry of his contract we will consider all offers.”

Benayoun has made just one Premier League match for Chelsea since his move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2010.
