Arsenal defender Johan Djourou has revealed he is not keen on a return to the Emirates Stadium according to ESPN.

The Swiss defender is currently enjoying a loan spell with Bundesliga side Hannover after joining the club during the January transfer window.

Djourou has gone on to make ten starts for the club after finding his first team opportunities at Arsenal limited.

The player is now hoping that the two clubs can come to an agreement that will see Djourou extend his spell in Germany.

Djourou is not optimistic of such a situation occurring though. The player still has two years left on his contact with the Emirates club and does not believe the German side have the funds necessary to make the move permanent.

Arsenal would be looking for a fee in the region of £3.5 million to allow the player to leave the club on a permanent basis.

That could change though should Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger bring in defensive reinforcements this summer.

The Frenchman is thought to be keen to add a centre back to his squad to provide competition to the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker which could leave to Djourou being allowed to leave should he find himself even further down the Emirates pecking order.
