Borussia Dortmund could be dealt the blow of losing another of their star players to rivals Bayern Munich this summer, with the news that Robert Lewandowski would favour a move to the German champions over Manchester United.

According to the Sun, the Polish striker will join Mario Goetze in Munich next year as the Bavarian giants look to build on this sensational season under new manager Pep Guardiola.

The 24-year-old has just one year left on his contract with Dortmund and is also a target for Chelsea and Manchester City, after a couple of excellent seasons in the Bundesliga, as well as being a crucial part of his team’s run to the Champions League final this year.

Manchester United are keen to add a striker to their squad this summer, with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez both tipped to leave the club in a summer exodus, which could see new faces in both midfield and attack for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.

However, United will perhaps look again to Atletico Madrid star Falcao to partner Robin van Persie next season, after missing out on Lewandowski.

Lewandowski and Goetze will come up against their future employers Bayern in the final, in an emotional final game for Dortmund.
