Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has told Spox.com that rumours linking him with a move away from the club this summer are untrue.

The German has only been at Arsenal for one season since joining from Cologne last summer, but has already been subject to transfer speculation after spending a lot of time towards the end of the season on the bench.

There have been question marks over the 27-year-old’s fitness, leading to stories that the Gunners might accept an offer of around £12million for him from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

However, Podolski says he is happy where he is, and has dismissed these stories as rumours that he can do nothing about.

“I feel very comfortable and I am completely satisfied with my first year in England,” he said.

“I have no intention to leave the club. Rumours are rumours and I cannot stop them.”

Podolski scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists for Arsenal this season, helping them to pip rivals Tottenham for fourth place in the Premier League.

Galatasaray have been linked with a number of other Premier League players this summer, and are said to be lining up moves for Podolski’s Arsenal team-mate Gervinho, as well as Dimitar Berbatov and John Terry.
