Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is hoping to persuade David Moyes to allow youngster Nick Powell move to Carrow Road on a season long loan deal according to The Sun.

Having already brought in some very useful summer signings the Canaries manager will look to Powell to offer his side more strength in depth whilst also offering the former Crewe Alexandra man the chance of a more regular Premier League spot than if he were to fight for his place in the Old Trafford squad.

Hughton spent £8.5m to bring in Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon and converted Javier Garrido’s loan deal into a permanent switch. Norwich City then completed a move to bring in England Under 21 international Nathan Redmond from Birmingham City and will look to make Powell his next addition.

Powell joined Man United last July and only turned 19 three months ago. Thus far the midfielder has managed just 31 minutes of Premier League action though has found time to net his first goal at home to Wigan Athletic and is clearly a player with a bright future and next term could be the right time to loan out the teenager for some much needed senior experience.
