Wealthy Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala have made the incredible decision to transfer list their entire squad after seeing the team endure a poor start to the season according to The Mirror.
The club have been famed in recent years for their lavish spending which has seen the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Lassana Diarra and Willian all arrive at the club.
However that now looks set to come to an end after club chiefs decided it was time for a change in strategy.
The club are now reportedly looking to slash their wage bill and offload all of the club’s expensively assembled stars. Anzhi will instead seek to operate under a much smaller budget in future.
That is likely to interest a number of Europe’s top sides who could be set to make offers for some of Anzhi’s team.
Chelsea and Tottenham are likely to be paying close attention to the future of Willian after both were linked with his signature in the January transfer window.
But the Brazilian winger last week revealed the reason he instead chose to jojn Anzhi was because his former club Shakhtar Donetsk failed to accept any offers from clubs in the Premier League.
Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen, a former assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson, could also be set to lose his job after just sixteen days in the position.
