Serie A giants not willing to sell promising youngster.
Arsenal look set to be foiled in their attempts to sign teenage sensation Patrick Olsen from Serie A giants Inter Milan, according to talkSPORT.
The 19-year-old, a Denmark Under-21 international, has emerged as a top target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in the last few days, with the Frenchman keen to continue his tradition of finding and nurturing the best young talent from around the world.
With Olsen’s abilities in midfield, he could be ready to make an impact straight away at the Emirates Stadium in a side somewhat lacking in depth in that area, whereas he has not yet managed to break into the first-team setup at the San Siro.
Still, Inter are keen to hold on to the Dane for the future, and will reportedly reject any offers that come in from Arsenal or indeed any other club when the transfer window re-opens in January.
With the Italians’ strong desire to keep hold of their rising star, Arsenal will have to make do with looking elsewhere for new players at the turn of the year, though it is not yet clear if they have lined up an alternative to Olsen.
