Tottenham’s advances for former AC Milan man Alexandre Pato have apparently been given a big boost following speculation that all is now well for the striker at current club Corinthians according to UOL Esporte.

Though the 24 year old has done relatively well since moving back to his homeland, 15 goals in his opening campaign, it appears that his team-mates are a little jealous about the attention the forward has garnered as well as his huge pay packet, which one would imagine is a fair bit heftier than others at the club.

Though Pato only moved to the Sao Paulo side in January there seems to be some resentment among his Corinthians colleagues and it could drive Tottenham to make an offer for the lethal finisher, with this source claiming the North London club are ready to make an offer for the marksman.

Pato experienced something of an injury nightmare during his spell at the San Siro but still managed to net 51 goals in 117 Serie A appearances and the chance to join national team colleagues Paulinho and Sandro at White Hart Lane.

Andre Villas-Boas brought in Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela this summer to boost his attack but a return of just five goals from the club’s opening five Premier League fixtures may have left the Spurs boss keen to bring in other options.
