In-demand Juventus star Arturo Vidal has played down speculation linking him with a potential move to Manchester United, saying he is happy with his current club, according to talkSPORT.

The Chilean has been a key player for Antonio Conte’s side over the last few seasons, helping the team to two Serie A titles in a row with his fine midfield displays, and attracting a great deal of interest in the process.

Manchester United had looked at bringing him in this summer as they sought to bolster their midfield options, and Real Madrid were also linked as admirers of the 26-year-old.

However, United missed out on a number of their high-profile targets during the transfer window, and look set to be dealt another blow here with the news that Vidal has no current plans to leave Juventus.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man said he is not looking to leave as he is very happy and settled with Juve, and has set his sights on winning more silverware with the club after a highly successful two-year period.

“I feel very comfortable at Juventus,” he said. “The people want me here and treat me very well.

“Juventus have won two titles in a row and we hope to continue like this. I am 26 now and have many more years here.

“I hope to win a third title with Juventus.”

Another Juventus player being linked with a move away at the moment is Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, who is a target for Tottenham.
