Chelsea have knocked back an offer for Eden Hazard’s younger brother Thorgan from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, Sky Sports reports.

The Eredivise side are looking to add a number of fresh faces to their squad in the January transfer window after midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum was ruled out for the remainder of the season and forward Ola Toivonen is expected to move on with Besiktas and Newcastle interested.

Hazard, who signed for the Blues from French side Lens in 2012 has been on loan at Belgian side Zulte Waregem for the past two seasons and is currently impressing with the side ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

The 20-year-old has impressed enough to make his way into the Belgian national side alongside his brother and had done enough to impress PSV after the two sides met in the qualifying stages of the Champions League earlier on in the season.

The Dutch side kept tabs on his progress ever since, but have now admitted defeat in their quest to lure him away from Stamford Bridge on a full time basis.

PSV technical manager Marcel Brands told Dutch football website Voetbal International: “He wants to stay in Belgium. So is he not attainable.”
