Manchester United are said to be leading the charge to bring in Paris Saint Germain’s starlet midfielder Marco Verratti this summer, according to Football Direct News.

The Italian had broken into the PSG first team straight away last season and played a major part in helping them lift the Ligue 1 title, however, his place now looks under threat thanks to the recent arrival of Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle and the increasing speculation of the arrival of Paul Pogba from Juventus this summer.
PSG coach has been given a selection headache this season with Verratti, Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Motta all competing for a spot at the base of the midfield and former national team boss Raymond Domenech has said that problems have started to arise.
Domenech told Ma Chaine Sport earlier in the week that it will be hard to keep all those players happy.
And though Verratti has admitted that it would be tough to leave the French capital he will do what is best for his career.
United boss David Moyes had held an interest in the player over the summer, but has kept a close watch on developments and will be expected to make a move for him this time around after missing out on Arturo Vidal of Juventus.
