German international prepares for North London derby fixture.
The 28 year old forward will hope to be starting Arsenal’s fixture against local rivals Tottenham having had a very indifferent second season at the Emirates Stadium.
Podolski has started just five Premier League fixtures this season and his last top tier goal came way back in late December though the Gunners forward did net against Bayern Munich in midweek.
Arsene Wenger will look to Podolski to offer Olivier Giroud some much needed support up front in the remaining months of the current campaign, especially with Nicklas Bendtner once again hitting his personal self destruct button and Theo Walcott sidelined for the rest of the campaign.
