Check in to Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland

Tottenham are keen on luring PSG winger Lucas Moura to White Hart Lane this summer, a move that would have to set back the north London club a massive fee to have any chance of coming to fruition.

Football Direct News claim that the 21 year old is a target for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, which is a tad surprising given the massive sums he invested in under-performing talents last summer, which some would have imagined would have led to a more reserved approach to squad building when the transfer window re-opens.

PSG paid £37m for Moura back in January 2013 but the wide-man is yet to deliver for the Ligue 1 side and has started less than half the club’s fixtures this term, leading to speculation that Laurent Blanc may be open to selling the former Sao Paulo man.

One wonders if Moura would be open to a move to a side that is unlikely to offer Champions League football though the pull of teaming up with national team colleagues Paulinho and Sandro could be a motivating factor.

Levy may well insist Tim Sherwood offloads a number of his under-performing squad before funds are released for new additions.
