Lille defender Simon Kjaer has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, reports GOAL.

The Red Devils will delve into the transfer market this summer to replace departing duo Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

Kjaer, 25, is said to be on United’s transfer wishlist, but the Denmark international claims that he has no intention of leaving Lille until he has sampled Champions League football with the Ligue 1 side.

“It’s always nice to know about interest from other big clubs, but, to be honest, rumours like that are not in my thoughts at all right now,” Kjaer told BT Sport.

“All my focus and energy is on the Lille games and for me personally my concentration is all about achieving my big goal to play in the Champions League with Lille next season.”

Lille, who finished sixth last season, are currently third in the Ligue 1 table, seven points clear of fourth-placed Saint-Etienne with four games left to play.

Kjaer joined the 2011 French champions from Wolfsburg in July. He has made 30 league appearances for Lille, helping Rene Girard’s men keep 19 clean sheets in the process.
