Manchester United attacking starlet Adnan Januzaj is now the best-paid teenager in world football, with the wide man earning more than even FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi or Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo did at the same age according to the youngster’s agent in the Daily Mail.

The Belgium-born star finally agreed to put pen to paper on a bumper five-year deal with the Premier League champions last November, with Januzaj rewarded for his fine displays on the wing for United with a contract worth a staggering £30,000 per week.
And now the player’s agent has gone on to reveal that during those negotiations to keep Januzaj at the Theatre of Dreams for the foreseeable future, mega-rich Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain entered the scene at the very last minute with a big-money offer to try to lure the winger to the Parc des Princes instead.
However, despite the Parisians virtually telling Januzaj that he could name his price if he agreed to move to the French capital at the end of this campaign, when the midfielder would by that point have become a free agent, the star rejected PSG’s advances in favour of staying at the Theatre of Dreams.
“I can say Adnan’s the best paid youngster in the world. He earns more than Ronaldo and Messi when they were 18,” said Dirk De Vriese.
“Five minutes before Adnan signed a new deal at Manchester United, PSG offered us an astonishing deal.
“As Adnan was a free agent at the end of the season, the Qatari were ready to offer anything. Anything in terms of wages and signing on fees.
“It could have been interesting from a commercial point of view. But money has never been a deciding factor in his choice.”
