Chelsea look set to fend off Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in star man Eden Hazard this summer, according to Foot Mercato.

Hazard, who is currently with the Belgium national team at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has been heavily linked with a move to the Parc des Princes.

However, Chelsea are reluctant to entertain thoughts of selling the 23-year-old, who was their best player last season.

Hazard was Chelsea’s top goalscorer, netting 14 goals in 35 Premier League matches. He also provided seven assists.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc has admitted that Hazard is a player he admires, but he seems ready to admit defeat in his pursuit of the wing wizard.

Speaking to Radio Monte Carlo, Blanc said that PSG will look to make more signings this summer.

However, he claimed that, with the capture of Brazilian defender David Luiz from Stamford Bridge, he had already secured his “top priority”.

He is quoted as saying: “Hazard is a top player, but I think Chelsea wants to keep him.

“Many players will be cited, but we have already made our top priority, David Luiz. We’ll wait a bit before recruiting, be patient.”

Hazard has three years left to run on his current contract at Chelsea.

He has been capped 46 times by Belgium at senior international level, with his last appearance coming in Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Algeria.
