Manchester United are set to revive their interest in Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus by engaging in a £45 million battle with Liverpool for the 25-year old German, reports the Daily Express.
The Red Devils were left frustrated by Reus’ preference to join Barcelona earlier this summer, but they are still keen to land the ace German international.
United’s arch rivals Liverpool have already been linked with Reus, whose reported move to Barcelona fell through as the Catalans opted for the Reds’ ace striker Luis Suarez instead. However, Manchester United have long been eyeing a move for Reus, which could make this transfer saga a rather interesting one in the coming weeks.
Liverpool can offer the Borussia Dortmund man Champions League football, which could get the forward to think about a move to Anfield, but it remains to be seen where the youngster wishes to move this summer.
Dortmund are also making efforts to keep their star player as they have already lost ace forward Robert Lewandowski to arch rivals Bayern Munich this summer, but their attempts could turn out to be futile if a big offer comes in for Reus.
