The 25 year old has struggled for form over his two seasons at Man United and hasn’t come to close the heights he reached during his previous spell at Borussia Dortmund.

Man United paid £12m for Kagawa in June 2012, having won back to back Bundesliga titles with Dortmund, but his debut campaign was something of a damp squib and last term the Kobe born flair player failed to net a single goal in 30 appearances in all competitions and is now deemed as surplus to requirements by boss Louis van Gaal and a return to Borussia Dortmund may work well for all parties.
