Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has already started plotting his client’s return to Manchester United and is working on a £55 million transfer that could go through in the January transfer window, the Metro reports.

The Portuguese forward has said recently that he would love to return to Old Trafford one day and it has been suggested in recent days that a transfer could happen in the New Year
Mendes is reportedly angry at the way Angel di Maria was treated by Real Madrid following his move to Manchester and is now looking to help Ronaldo leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and return to his former club.
Despite spending nearly £150 million this summer, United are still in a position to make big money buys and would be very interested in bringing the 29 year old back to the Theatre of Dreams.
Mendes would also love to have Ronaldo playing alongside di Maria, Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao, all of whom moved to the Red Devils in the summer with the help of the influential agent.
While the Red Devils aren’t the only club thought to be interested in signing the Ballon d’Or holder should he become available, they do appear to be favourites due to the affection the star has towards the 20-time league champions.
