Ryan Mason bagged the crucial equaliser for Tottenham. It was the youngster’s first goal for the club, but it was one the keeper should be stopping. An excellent long-range effort curled beautifully away from Dorus de Vries, but the ball brushed his fingertips on its way into the net.

Spurs completed their comeback seven minutes from time, when they took the lead through Roberto Soldado. It was an instinctive finish from the Spaniard, who stuck out a foot to deflect Andros Townsend’s effort past the goalkeeper and into the centre of the goal.
