The massive Belgian endured a horrendous first season at Old Trafford, with a number of injuries coupled with poor form seeing him become something of a pariah at the club.

He has seen an upturn in his form this campaign however, and has forced himself into Louis van Gaal’s first team plans.

A lot was expected of the former Everton powerhouse following his £27.5m move, and his sub-par performances combined with his hefty price tag made him an easy target during Moyes’ failed stint in charge.

He has been deployed as more of a box to box midfielder under his new Dutch manager, a role he is apparently relishing.

Fellaini has started the last three matches on the trot for the Manchester based club, and is slowly becoming an important part of the Old Trafford set-up.
