However, he did also say that he wouldn’t let his admiration for the side influence him when he chose a new club. The Norway international has been going around Europe visiting training facilities and meeting managers in recent weeks.
The 15-year-old has already trained with the Bayern Munich and Stuttgart youth teams, as well as visiting Ajax’s facilities and meeting Jurgen Klopp.
“Liverpool have always been my dream club,” Odegaard told German paper Bild,
“But I will not let this affect my decision when I choose a new club. It’s all about finding the team that is best for me and for my development. That is not necessarily Liverpool.”
Even with the caveat that he won’t let it affect his decision, this will be good news for the Merseyside club. The wonderkid recently agreed to visit the club’s training ground before Christmas, and Brendan Rodgers has spoken highly of his potential as well.
