The south-coast side have started the season in stunning fashion and even after back to back defeats Koeman’s side sits in the top four.
Costa Rican international Campbell was ushered into the Gunners first team set-following three seasons out on loan, with his strong World Cup showing proof of his ability at the highest level, but has barely had a look-in thus far this season.
Campbell has been handed just 38 minutes of Premier League action this season and may well be tempted by the chance of more regular action elsewhere.
Arsene Wenger may be open to loaning out Campbell to a Premier League side to garner some much needed experience though may feel sending the starlet to Southampton may be aiding a side they will be battling for a coveted Champions League berth.
