Former Liverpool boss and Anfield hero Rafa Benitez is nearing closer to being sacked at current club Napoli according to reports in Italy.
Benitez’s side failed to secure Champions League football this season after falling to Athletic over two legs in qualification back in August.
Benitez’s side are currently down in joint sixth place in Serie A and Owner of the club, Aurelio De Laurentiis, reportedly went into the team dressing room to criticise the players after a 2-0 defeat at the San Siro to AC Milan.
According to the Daily Mirror, reports from Italy say the probability that Benitez will stay at Napoli is close to zero.
The former Liverpool and Valencia manager moved to Naples in May of last year and managed to win the Coppa Italia in his first season. However, shambolic early season form paired with a lack of Champions League football has left Benitez on the brink.
