Edinson Cavani may be on his way out of PSG very soon, but Arsene Wenger won’t be bringing him to Arsenal this January…

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a massive move for Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani this January, but it looks as though the Premier League side are going to miss out, according to ITV.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is happy with the attacking options he has available at the moment, and doesn’t see a reason to bring a striker to the club this window.

“We have many options when you think of the players who still have not played (against Hull), we have many solutions up front,” he said.

“It is a very important period now. We have had many injuries until now and hopefully everybody will be back.”

With the likes of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott, and Alexis Sanchez all able to play up front, a new forward is certainly not a priority for the Gunners. But many would argue that the North London club are missing a world class out-and-out striker, and that is one of the main reasons they have been off the pace for the last few years.

Lukas Podolski’s move to Serie A side Inter Milan seems all but done, so the manager may look to replace the German star. He is unlikely however, to spend the kind of money PSG would be looking for onCavani.
