The troubles between the pair have hit the headlines this week after things seemed to hit a wall at the Catalan club after their 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad on the weekend. However, it would now seem that the two have had issues for a while, with this story dating from last month.

In the first training session after the Christmas break, the four time Ballon d’Or winner and his manager had to be broken up by Neymar to stop them from coming to blows. The Argentine was apparently unhappy because Enrique refused to give a foul against him in a training match. After the game Messi went to look for the 44-year-old and that is when the altercation happened.

However, his Brazilian teammate got wind of the argument and intervened before the pair physically fought. This incident is thought to have been a catalyst for further disagreements between the two since.

Apparently, Chelsea are interested in pouncing for the player should this current unhappiness lead to a move away from the Nou Camp.
