Arsenal, alongside Liverpool and Serie A title hopefuls Roma are said to be monitoring his situation and have been watching him closely for weeks.

But Wenger moved to dismiss the speculation, insisting he is happy with having Wojciech Szczesny, David Ospina and Damian Martinez as his options.

“No, Petr Cech is at Chelsea. We have three goalkeepers who for me are top class and there is a big competition going on,” he said.

“I have no doubt we have the needed quality.”

Cech has been tipped to exit the west London outfit in the January market after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois this season.
