The Mexican forward has been nothing but a bench warmer at the Spanish giants, with most onlookers believing he was brought in merely to help Madrid get a foothold in the lucrative Mexican market rather than for his usefulness to Ancelotti’s side. Respected Spanish journalist Melchor Ruiz told the paper he should be available for around £8 million, adding that “[Madrid] acknowledge they could have been wrong about him after what he has contributed.
