The 20-year-old has reportedly stalled on signing a new contract at Anfield – with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season – as he holds out for a wage hike of £150,000 a week. The situation has alerted Pep Guardiola, who has sent some of his scouts to watch the England international.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that if a new contract is to be agreed, it may not be until the summer.
