Former Liverpool hero Fernando Torres returned to Merseyside to take part in Steven Gerrard’s charity match on Sunday and the Spaniard received a rousing reception from fans present for the occasion.
The 31 year old took the opportunity to post a pic alongside a host of Liverpool talents on his instagram page.
Below you will see Torres next to his ‘Liverpool Family’ which includes Luis Suarez, Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Pepe Reina and Alvero Arbeloa.
Torres is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, having signed for AC Milan in January, and has proven something of a success, netting four goals for the Vicente Calderon side despite having started only a handful of fixtures with the La Liga side.
