The 28-year-old has a great goal to games ratio this season, netting 16 times in 24 appearances for the Gunners.

Despite this, he has still performed poorly in big games, such as the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against AS Monaco.

Giroud netted France’s second against Denmark, after an earlier finish from Alexandre Lacazette had broken the deadlock.

Former Arsenal man Nicklas Bendtner is also playing in the fixture having scored a hat trick for Denmark a couple of days ago against the USA.

If Giroud keeps up this form he could well end up as one of the top scorers in the Premier League.

Could he rival Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero, and Harry Kane to finish the season as top scorer in the Premier League?
